What is Choghadiya?
Choghadiya (literally 'four ghadis') is an ancient Vedic muhurat system. It divides the day (sunrise to sunset) and the night (sunset to the next sunrise) into 8 equal parts each — 16 muhurats in total. Each muhurat is ruled by a planet and is classified as either auspicious or inauspicious.
Choghadiya is especially popular in Gujarat, Rajasthan, and Maharashtra for picking the right time to start a business, travel, marriage, or any new endeavor. It is considered as important as Rahu Kaal in everyday muhurat selection.
