Discover the hidden power of your numbers

What is Numerology?

Numerology is the ancient science of numbers — the belief that the universe speaks a mathematical language, and that the date you were born and the letters of your name form a blueprint of your subtle nature. Unlike astrology which maps planetary positions, numerology works with pure arithmetic, making it accessible to anyone with just a birth date and a name.

RashifalJi's free calculator uses the Chaldean system — the same system used by ancient Vedic sages. It computes your three core numbers: Mulank (Birth Number), Bhagyank (Destiny Number), and Namank (Name Number). Together they describe your natural strengths, life direction, and how the world perceives you.

Your Three Core Numbers

1

Mulank — Birth Number

Reduce your birth day (1–31) to a single digit. This is your innate personality — the core energy you were born with, how you instinctively react.

2

Bhagyank — Destiny Number

Sum every digit of your full birth date and reduce to one. This is your life path — the direction your soul is drawn toward, the lessons you're here to learn.

3

Namank — Name Number

Each letter of your name carries a Chaldean value; sum and reduce. This is your public identity — the way the world perceives you, your reputation and influence.

Selecting favourable dates for starting a business, marriage or a major move.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is numerology the same as astrology?

No — they are complementary sciences. Astrology studies the positions of planets and stars at your birth; numerology studies the vibrations of numbers derived from your birth date and name. Many Indian families consult both: astrology for broader life themes, numerology for quick everyday guidance.

Can I change my fate by changing the spelling of my name?

Numerology considers the name a tool that shapes how you are perceived, not a fixed fate. Some people find that tweaking a spelling (adding or removing a letter to align the Namank) brings subtle improvements. Your Mulank and Bhagyank are fixed by your birth date and cannot be changed.

Which system does RashifalJi use — Chaldean or Pythagorean?

We use the Chaldean system, which is the traditional Indian and ancient Mesopotamian method. It assigns number values differently to letters (1–8, not 1–9) and is considered more accurate by most Vedic numerologists because it preserves the original vibrational logic.

What are master numbers 11, 22, 33?

In classical Western numerology, 11, 22, and 33 are not reduced further because they carry amplified spiritual vibrations. Traditional Vedic numerology reduces every number to 1–9, but most modern Indian numerologists recognise master numbers as significant if they appear in your Bhagyank before reduction.

How often should I check my numerology?

Your core numbers don't change, so there's no need to recalculate often. But your personal year number (based on current year + birth month + day) shifts every January — checking it annually helps you anticipate the year's theme and plan accordingly.
